Office Administrator

As our Office Administrator Jeannie is our “Go to Girl”. She handles so many areas in the office that they are truly too numerous to mention. Jeannie started working in the dental field in 1978 and before finding her place in orthodontics, she had experience in general, pediatric, and endodontic dentistry. Bringing all that experience with her, Jeannie has made customer service her main focus. Providing an enjoyable orthodontic experience from start to finish is something she strives for every day. When not working Jeannie enjoys her volunteer work caring for homeless cats, spending time with friends, and her life on the lake. When asked what she loves about TNT Orthodontics, Jeannie responded,

“Being part of Dynamite orthodontic practice that enjoys creating great smiles while providing awesome customer service is extremely rewarding”.

Treatment Coordinator

After four years of experience in the field of general dentistry, Betsy joined Dr. Hamway and Dr. Stroster as their first clinical assistant in 1993. Since then Betsy has held several positions in the office, and eventually landed in the position of Treatment Coordinator. Drawing on experience in both general dentistry and orthodontics, Betsy helps patients and parents understand all aspects of orthodontic treatment. She finds her work as a treatment coordinator very rewarding and loves seeing the smile transformations as our patients, both children and adults, progress through treatment. Betsy lives in Hamburg with her husband; she has two adult children and five grandchildren. Her three oldest grandchildren are already patients of TNT Orthodontics and on the path to having a DYNAMITE SMILE. The two youngest will most certainly become members of our TNT family when the time is right.

Treatment Coordinator

We welcomed Taylor as a member of our TNT family in 2018, as a Treatment Coordinator. Having had previous experience in another orthodontic practice, she jumped right in and has quickly become a valuable member of our team. Taylor helps new patients and parents by explaining the recommended treatment to them very thoroughly. Her calm and friendly demeanor makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable in our office.

Taylor is a music and art lover, enjoys the outdoors, likes cooking and being with family. Taylor and her best friend/husband Jesse live in Davisburg with their two rescue dogs Ned and Shadow.

Administrative Assistant

Nicole has been a Dynamite member of our TNT Orthodontics team for 11 years. Prior to joining us, Nicole worked in general dentistry and brought some really good experience with her. That experience, and her years at TNT, have made Nicole a highly respected team member whom coworkers look to for assistance in answering questions about any aspect of orthodontic treatment.

With her beautiful smile and great sense of humor, Nicole brightens up the front desk of TNT Orthodontics every day. Patients and their parents have come to know her well, and enjoy her quick wit and generally pleasant demeanor. Nicole grew up in Pinckney and now lives in Brighton with her husband and young son. Outside of the office, Nicole enjoys good food, cooking, physical fitness, and outdoor activities.

Administrative Assistant

Courtney is new to our dynamite TNT team. Her career in dentistry started ten years ago when she worked as a pediatric dental assistant. In addition to working as a dental assistant, Courtney has experience in insurance billing, treatment coordinating, and accounting. She is extremely excited about becoming a part of the administrative team and feels as though she has found her professional home here with us.

Courtney resides in Fowlerville with her husband, two sons, and one stepson. The boys are on the path of becoming professional athletes (so they think), and like most moms, she spends a lot of time as a chauffeur. There is never a dull moment between football, baseball, basketball, and wrestling.

Administrative Assistant

Kristy joined TNT Orthodontics in 2014 as part of our administrative team. However, since her daughter was a patient in the office, we already considered her a part of our TNT family. Kristy previously worked at other medical and dental offices and brought a great deal of experience with her, as well as a high level of customer service skills. Kristy finds it very rewarding working with both children and adults as they move through the process of orthodontic treatment, and especially loves seeing the beautiful end results.

Kristy lives in Hartland with her husband, two children, and two cats. Like most working Moms, she spends most of her free time shuttling her kids to their practices, games, and various other activities.

Administrative Assistant

Abby has been part of our TNT family since she was a teenager, and was a patient in our office. She knew from that time that she wanted to work in the orthodontic field, and became an official TNT teammate in 2014 as an administrative assistant. Abby worked as a front desk assistant in the medical field for over 6 years prior to joining our team, so with her she brought experience and a keen sense of what “great customer service” means.

Abby lives in South Lyon, loves volunteering with the children’s programs at her church, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys playing with “Duke”, her Great Dane.

Administrative Assistant

Sharlene started at TNT in 2018 after spending several years as an extremely busy stay-at-home Mom of 4 boys. When Sharlene decided to get back into the workforce, she chose TNT orthodontics, and we could not be happier. Although she is a newcomer to the field of orthodontics, her friendly demeanor makes her the perfect person to greet our patients as they come through the door.

Sharlene and her husband Don have lived in the Brighton area for 20 years, and when not in the office, they stay busy with their kid’s many sporting events. Sharlene also enjoys working out, dining out, and spending time with family and friends.

Orthodontic Supervisor

Kerry is one of our clinic supervisors.  As a long-term team member, Kerry has been with Dr. Hamway and Dr. Stroster since 1999, and most of us cannot imagine TNT Orthodontics without her.  Kerry grew up in Montana, and later lived in California where she trained to be a dental assistant. Luckily for us, Kerry met and married a nice young Michigander named Bob. With their two young children in tow, they decided to settle down in Michigan.

Kerry is always eager to do whatever is needed….with a smile on her face. She stays late, comes in early, and handles our after-hours emergency calls.  When asked how she maintains such a DYNAMITE attitude, Kerry answered, “I truly enjoy being part of a team that creates beautiful smiles every day.”

Kerry lives in Perry with her husband Bob. Her children are now grown, and she has one beautiful little granddaughter.

Samantha, RDA

Orthodontic Assistant

Sam joined the TNT team in 2013. She is a graduate of the Dental Assisting program at Washtenaw Community College and is a Registered Dental Assistant. She is CPR and Radiology certified and is enrolled in continuing education courses during her spare time.

Sam lives in Fenton, and when she is not working at either of her jobs, enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and her kitty cat, Kahlan. Sam also loves shopping, trying new recipes, and catching up on the latest TV shows.

Sam reports that she enjoys coming to work every day and loves seeing the DYNAMITE smile improvements as our patients progress through their orthodontic treatment.

Orthodontic Assistant

Carla started working with Dr. Hamway and Dr. Stroster in 1997 as one of their first clinical assistants, and therefore knows all the ins and outs of what it takes to make TNT Orthodontics the DYNAMITE office that it is.

Having grown up in Ypsilanti where her father was a general dentist, entering into the dental field seemed like a natural step for Carla. She is a Certified Dental Assistant and also is certified in dental radiography and CPR. Before starting at TNT, Carla had extensive experience in the field of general dentistry and brought that experience and knowledge with her when she joined our team. Carla says that she really loves the orthodontic field because “seeing how a beautiful smile can change someone’s life is very rewarding”.

Carla and her husband Scott raised two great kids in Brighton, but have since moved to the Ann Arbor area. She loves making jewelry, hiking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Orthodontic Assistant

Angela has been a clinical assistant at TNT for approximately a year now. She studied dental assisting through the Dental Assisting program at Ross Medical Education Center. We were lucky enough to have her extern here. Through her externship, Angela proved her skills to be dynamite, so we decided to make it official and offer her a job. When asked about why she loves her job, Angela states enthusiastically, “I enjoy working with and getting to know all the patients that walk through the doors every day. They make TNT a fun place to work!”

When she is not working, Angela is a busy mom of 2, a boy and a girl. She lives in Brighton with her children, husband, and dog Rey. As a family, one of their most favorite things to do is taking weekend trips. Cedar Point seems to be the favorite destination. When they are not riding amusement rides, hockey and horseback riding take up the majority of their lives.

Jessica, RDA, COA

Orthodontic Assistant

Jessica has been a wonderful addition to our clinic team, fitting in so seamlessly that it’s hard to imagine that she has only been with us since 2014. Maybe that’s because Jessica is always in a good mood and eager to help in whatever way is needed.

Jessica attended Washtenaw Community College, where she earned her RDA and COA certificate. She also attends frequent continuing education classes to keep her skills and knowledge up-to-date. Jessica has always worked in the field of orthodontics and feels that it is the very best dental specialty to work in. She really enjoys seeing the happy faces of our patients as their braces are removed, and their DYNAMITE new smile is revealed.

When not working at TNT, Jessica is a busy mom of two beautiful boys. She and her husband, Brian, live in Pinckney.

Orthodontic Assistant

Jenna started at TNT Orthodontics as a clinical assistant in 2018. She graduated from Ross Medical Education Center in 2011, and although she had numerous years of experience in the field of general dentistry, this is Jenna’s first job in orthodontics. Lucky for us, she was a very quick learner and we are extremely fortunate to have her as part of our team. Jenna is funny, smart, kind, and fits in as though she has always been here.

Jenna lives in Brighton and outside of the office she is busy as the Mom of an active young son. Jenna loves summertime, vacations, and spending time with her family and her dog Lily.

Orthodontic Assistant

Caitlyn actually began her time with TNT Orthodontics years ago as a patient, when she was a teenager. Later, after graduating from Cleary University in 2014 and then Ross Medical Education Center in 2015, Caitlyn worked at TNT part-time and also worked in in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. In 2017, when the opportunity for a full time position at TNT became available Caitlyn jumped at the chance, as her heart is really in orthodontics. Caitlyn is always happy, and is great with our children, teen and adult patients.

Outside the office Caitlyn has a cute little dog named Lacy, who is possibly the most spoiled dog ever. She enjoys going up north on the weekends, loves cruises, and spending time with family and friends.

Sterilization Assistant

We welcomed Izzy as a member of our TNT team in 2019. However, we already knew she would be a good fit, as she was first seen here as an orthodontic patient.

Izzy’s job at TNT is to keep the instruments and clinic work stations clean and sterile, helping to provide our patients with the highest quality orthodontic care in a safe environment. She also enjoys doing other tasks around the office, and is always more than willing to lend a hand wherever she is needed.

Izzy lives in Fenton with her family, and outside the office she loves spending time on the lake and playing school sports. Soon, she will be applying to colleges, but we hope she will end up staying close to home so she can continue her work here at TNT.
